Control

You stay in charge.

The agents do the work. You make the calls that matter: whether the plan is right, how to answer their questions, and whether it merges.

Decisions

The decisions stay with people.

A mission stops for you where it should, and the merge is yours.

  1. Approve the planBefore the agent writes any code, a checkpoint can wait for you to agree the plan or pick a mockup.
  2. Who mergesYou do, by default. A project can choose to let By Dawn’s reviewer approve and merge instead. The agent can never approve or merge its own pull request.
While it runs

Step in when you want to.

When you don’t, the work carries on without you.

  1. Steer itSend a note mid-run; the agent folds it into the mission.
  2. Needs youQuestions from all your agents wait in one list.
  3. InterruptPause after the current tool, stop and ask for a summary, abandon the run, or take over its browser.
How it works

Questions

Asked about control.

Can an agent merge its own work?

No. A person merges by default, a project can delegate approval to By Dawn’s reviewer, and the agent can never approve or merge its own pull request.
